Halloween and stuff...

What a fun week we have had, which is to say that Leon and Heather's work life was slow and we had fun with Cailin.  We made spagetti - Cailin seemed to LOVE it!  She is working on getting her first tooth, which means we are working on getting her to try more 'big kid' food!  This is a whole new boat for us!!

We didn't have daycare on Friday, so my mom came up to watch Cailin.  For something to do this weekend, we went to the SDSU Marching Band 'Indoor' Concert.  Cailin LOVED the music!  Kids were supposed to be dressed in their costumes, since Cailin had the history of not enjoying her elephant costume, she went as a SDSU cheerleader!
We might have a future music director on our hands! ;)

Tonight was Halloween!!  She must have known this was the day to wear her costume, she actually was all smiles!  Her costume is supposed to be an elephant, but she was called a bunny and a glow worm.  Darn Wal-Mart!!  I better write a letter!  :)

We have a busy week coming up!  But we are SO looking forward to Cailin's upcoming first birthday and Thanksgiving!!

Time to CATCH UP!!

OH MY Goodness!!  I have been so busy, I have let the one thing I love to do (Blogging) go down the tubes! I am going to quickly put some pictures!  I am trying to get some videos of Cailin walking - I just can't get the videos loaded now!?  I promise to do a better job!  :)
Mom came to visit!  We had Hobo Day on 10-23-2010.  We had a great time at the parade, it rained a little, but we were prepared!  We even managed to grab some SDSU ice cream after the parade!  Murphy on the other hand had a tough time with the drums and the sirens!  He is such an indoor dog!

While Mom watched Cailin - I did a little tailgating and went to the SDSU football game.

Cailin will be an elephant for Halloween!  She's not super excited for it, but I think it's just adorable!!  :)
Our baby is 11 months old!!!!!  WOW!

Okay, so here she is, not so happy about having her costume on!!
 Oops, even less happy now!!
Daddy couldn't take it anymore, he saved her!!  Such a softy!  :)  Poor Cailin!  I am so mean!!!
Two seconds later---she's happy and eating!!

Visit to Eastern Iowa..

Our trip to Iowa started last Thursday night.  We left after work around 3:00 pm.  Friday we made our way to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch!  I met Raegan, Quinnlyn and Harrison.  Leon had a great time meeting old co-workers.
Harrison was born 2 weeks before Cailin....Raegan and I think they like each other!  ;)
Quinnlyn looks like she has to keep her eye on Cailin's pony tail!

 Raegan and the girls!
 Just hanging out!
Then we made a trip to the UNI-Dome and McLeod Center!
  Cailin and KOHRSY!
Keys to the buildings.....um what trouble we could get into!?

We were very excited to spend some time with our friends from Cedar Falls!
Just to keep her options open - Cailin throws a little love towards Max Trzaskos!
 Me, Ashley, Jess and Jamie

Friday night Dean & Donna made supper for us.  Saturday was the game.  Of course, a trip to Mulligans was on order!

At work....

Well, I am on my third day of working full time! Last night I had an event and worked until 930 pm. The day went pretty quickly - goes quickly when bad things happen! It wasn't a great day, a lot went wrong. I knew that I had a special place at UNI - with GREAT people! I am positive I will find that here, it will just take time to form those relationships. Anyway, the second day of the event today. It is over at 5 pm. Leon will pick up Cailin again today.....she is loving daycare. She went to the children's museum yesterday. At daycare, we laugh because Cailin loves to put things in her mouth! Really anything she can find!!! At the museum they have an area with 'fur' on the wall. Of course, our child thinks she should eat it, but can't so what's next, she decides to LICK it!! Maybe we should feed her more?!

Only being on campus for a couple days quickly reminds me that I am 13 years older then some of these students!! But being 31 isn't so bad!
For instance, I was pretty excited to get carded the other day. Yep, feeling pretty good about myself! Got home, got ready for bed and washed my face. I am not one to stop at mirrors throughout the day....but seems that someone invited a pimple to my drinking party! Now wonder I got carded, what 31 year old still gets pimples?! Agh!! Oh, wait, I know my husband still adores this older version of his wife! We were driving the other day, me driving, Leon was passenager. I felt him look at me, then he lovingly brushed his hand on my chin......only to yank out two chin hairs! Agh!! :)

Hopefully I can get some pictures and videos on the blog tonight!! I have bunches of pictures!
