Friday, July 2 - Leon, Cailin and I packed up and headed to Iowa - to see Grandma and Grandpa.
We drove through Minnesota.....
And then made our stop in Iowa.
Cailin got to hang out with Kennedy and Grant. Leon had fun, as always, with Myles and all. They put together a game of bags and had a bonfire.
On Saturday Donna and Dean had a picnic in the park! They had such great food -- ribs, pulled pork, burgers and of course Donna's famous Scotch-a-roos! YUMMY!
Kennedy and Grant spent most of their time in the sand volleyball court!
And Cailin spent some of her time sleeping!
She did wake up to let Dean's brother Larry hold her....she focus on his hands and watch. :)
Saturday night we headed down to Cedar Falls to celebrate Ashley's 30th birthday!! ;)Sunday, the 4th of July we headed East....through...

It took just over 8 hours. Cailin did such a great job! It was great to get to see my brother, Meghan, Grace and Josie!!!! Cailin had fun with her cousins! She really liked their toys! :)

While we were there we made a trip to IKEA!! "YEA!" Leon and Phil went golfing, checked out the new suites at the Michigan stadium and went to a Detroit Tigers game. Meghan and I had so much fun hanging out with the girls. Grace was just starting a camp about safety...she loved to talk about what they did! What a hoot!
Cailin came down with her first cold while we were there. We had one rough night, but once she figured out how to breathe through her mouth - it got better.
Wednesday around noon we headed out. Left Michigan to....

at Leon's Aunt Rosey's in the quad cities. We had a great time going out for supper (I had the BEST Philly Cheesesteak EVER--YUMMY!) with Rosey and some of her friends.
Thursday we had a busy day! We went to the Zoo! It was a beautiful day....
They had a petting zoo.....here Cailin was looking at some silky white chickens..she also got her eyes on some hot lamas!
My personal favorite was the giraffes! TOO CUTE! They had two babies!
Of course we couldn't pass up the carousel! We sat on the bench, but after it stopped I had to prop Cailin up on the horse! :) I usually don't take her out in just a onesie, but it was HOT, so we stripped down! hee hee!!
After the Zoo, we headed for lunch, then to the river to see Rosey's boat. We didn't take it out, because none of us were qualified to drive it (it's a BIG boat)! We did get a tour and Cailin is a Captain-in-training!
Thursday we headed back to Dean and Donna's. They weren't home, but we had a great opportunity to catch up on some sleep and laundry!
Friday was another slow day. Leon's friend, Scott, was in town with his kids, Kylie and Brett. It was great to see them, it's crazy how big they are!
Friday night we made a trip over to McKowen's. Jon and Jodi were there with Trey. He had Cailin giggling with his crazy dancing!
Saturday we headed to Cedar Falls to visit the old stomping grounds. We stayed with friends and had a great time catching up with everyone!! Cailin got to see a bunch of friends she hadn't seen in awhile! Of course my camera battery died and we left our charge at Rosey's....so I don't have any pictures! It was a PERFECT way to wrap up our trip (minus Jalen's need for stitches:( bummer)!! We left on Sunday and got home around 2pm. Mom was good enough to meet us at home with Murphy!!!
